The Ontario Area Regional Control and Elimination program (ARC&E) is an industry led initiative based on the concepts of known disease status, transparency and working together to control and eliminate swine diseases of significance. The program is currently focused on PRRS and PED, but could be applied to other diseases identified by the industry.

The ARC&E facilitates swine disease control and elimination through the standardization and integration of farm specific data with a geographical information systems (GIS) to provide for visualization and spatial analyses of the data.
